Tags are a powerful way to categorize and segment your Pardot prospects.
By assigning tags to your prospects, you can easily group them based on specific criteria and target your marketing efforts more effectively.
Here’s how to use tags on Pardot prospects.
The first step in using tags is to create them.
To create a tag, go to the “Content > Tags” tab in Pardot and click “Add Tag“.
Give the tag a name that accurately reflects the criteria for which you will use it, such as “Leads from Trade Show X.”
Assign tags to prospects
Once you’ve created your tags, you can assign them to prospects.
To do this, go to the “Prospects” tab and select the prospects you want to tag.
Then, click “Bulk Actions” and select “Add Tag.”
Choose the tag you want to assign from the dropdown menu and click “Save.”
Use tags to segment your prospects
Once you’ve assigned tags to your prospects, you can use them to segment your prospects into groups.
To do this, go to the “Prospects > Segmentation > Segmentation Lists” tab and click “Add List.”
Choose “Tags” as the criteria and select the tag(s) you want to use.
Your list will now include all prospects with the selected tag(s).
Target tagged prospects with campaigns
Now that you’ve segmented your prospects into groups, you can use these groups to target your marketing efforts more effectively.
To do this, go to the “Campaigns” tab and create a new campaign.
Once done, you can use your list created in the previous step to send a List Email to your tagged prospects.
By using tags, you can easily categorize and segment your prospects in Pardot and target your marketing efforts more effectively.
Whether you’re looking to target prospects based on specific events, sources, or behaviors, tags provide a flexible and scalable solution to help you achieve your goals.
Tags are a valuable tool for organizing and targeting your prospects in Pardot.
By creating tags, assigning them to prospects, using them to segment your prospects, and targeting your campaigns based on these tags, you can improve the effectiveness of your marketing efforts and drive better results.
